The delightful market town of Okehampton sits comfortably in the heart of Devon and the northern foothills of the Dartmoor National Park.

Okehampton has all the facilities expected of a modern holiday destination: a good selection of shops can be found in the town centre and there is also a number of pubs, restaurants and cafes offering wholesome Devon fare.

The ruins of Okehampton Castle, the largest in Devon, are open daily during the summer and there is a picnic area and lovely woodland walks to be enjoyed.

In an early 19th century mill the Museum of Dartmoor Life tells the story of the people of the moor from ancient times to the present day.
